COMMUNITY URGENT CARE is a 5,000 square foot urgent care medical facility located at 820 Saint Anns Avenue, Bronx NY. JCAL was involved with design and was the GC of this 5,000 square foot state of the art urgent care medical facility. The space consists of 9 exam rooms, an x-ray room, lab and doctors offices. The facility is designed to provide a soothing and comfortable environment to deliver and receive care. The finishes provide maximum durability and comfort. The design incorporates optimal clinical flow patterns allowing for maximum efficiency of movement between staff and patient thru-put. The over-all feel of the facility reflects that a significant investment in the community has been made. Artwork from local artist Daniel Hauben is placed throughout the site to create a subtle linkage to art and the delivery of care. The physical design also incorporates flexibility, which allow for the facility to be adaptive to incorporate changes that may be required based upon utilization and other factors. The space was designed and constructed in accordance to NYS DOH Article 28 guidelines and recommendations.
